All Human Knowledge

The ambition of Wikipedia is to create a repository for all human knowledge. No lack of vision with this idea! You would think that to create this vision would require thousands of people employed by a mega-corporation. Not so. In this presentation Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia, talks about Wiki world and sets out a very different vision for organisations and collaborative ways of working:

Although recorded back in 2006, Wales states that Wiki have but 1 (sic) employee. How Wikipedia works is a superb example of new organisational forms and the power of technology to release collaboration and share knowledge.
